American Literature,  Friday Sept. 7, 2018
Objectives/Essential Question: Can You…
1.   RL.5/RI.5- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the
structure an author uses in his or her narration, exposition,
or argument, including whether the structure makes points clear,
convincing, and engaging or creates mystery, tension, or surprise.

2.   W.3 Organization- Construct effective beginnings, endings and
transitions for different occasions in a piece of writing.

3.   Get to know your classmates and get organized for class.


Agenda:
1. Fire Drill Field Trip (4 min)
2. Finish and share Mandala on the back of your placard. (7 min)
3. Groupthink Mandala and Team name (10 min)


4. Hit highlights of Syllabus (4 min)
5. Reminder: Syllabus- get this signed by Monday


6. People Hunt (15 min)


7. Begin Triadic Interview/biobags
a. Discuss and make different interview questions
b. Begin interviews
c. If you are not interviewing, you are crafting or expanding on
one or more of your biobags list.

8. The Interview rotation:
        A→ B & C
B→ C & A
C→ A & B


9. Go over Organization rubric (if we have time)
