Math assignment.


HOMEWORK: Revisions for High school Horror or Triadic
Interview or Biobags assignment due Wednesday, Oct. 10. I will
not take them after this date. I will not see you this day because of
PSAT, but drop it by or get it done earlier.

3. Writing conference while you work. No chrome books until your
rough draft is done.

4. The Hook- starting this whole thing:
1. Story- Remember the story about George Washington and
the cherry tree?
2. Statistic- 4/5 dentists agree that Crest is essential for healthy
teeth, but what about that 5th dentist? What if I told you...
3. Shocking observation- In 20 years the ocean will rise between
1 and 2 feet. Great for waves, but not for beachfront property, and not
for the increased hurricanes and typhoons.
4. Ask and answer a question: How many want to go to college?
That answer would change if it was free.

3. What does reading “Born in the USA” tell us about the speaker’s
belief?


4. Contrast that message w/ “God Bless the USA”- critically read this
song. What does the speaker believe?


5. Read “Theme for English B” poem by Langston Hughes.  What
is the message? Which lines tell you this?


6. Craft a belief statement about something important to you or
about America. Share w/ your UNO partner. Follow the A/B
partner protocol.


Uno partner- See if you can paraphrase why they believe what
they do about their topic. We will walk through this together.
